PRoject: Soul Food
My E-Commerce Empire
In March of 2020 when the world shut down, I was in need of a way to stay busy while stuck at home — my sourdough starter had taken a turn for the worst (RIP Sir Elton Naan), and I wanted to put my newfound free time towards something more productive.
So, I began a daily routine of doodling uplifting quotes in my sketchbook and before I knew it, Project: Soul Food was born. What began as a fun little hobby quickly evolved into an online shop full of posters, t-shirts, stickers and other goods. For me, it's the perfect left-brain + right-brain activity, as I find running the behind-the-scenes operations of the shop just as enjoyable as designing the products themselves.
“Founded in 2020” is something that I hope I can look back on and smile about in a few years. After all, life is 10% what happens and 90% how you react to it, right?
