What better way to stand out in the busy streets of New York's East Village than with sparkling disco balls, rainbow murals and neon signage? Opened in 2017, FryGuys is a funky and vibrant french fry shop that caters to anyone who is down for a good time. When I was commissioned to create the FryGuys menu, I knew it had to keep up with the restaurant's fun and energetic atmosphere. Simply put — the brighter, the better.
With late night hours (open 'til 4am!) and a compact, quick service setup, the menu had to be straightforward and easy to follow, as lines for this popular spot often form down the block. In 2019, FryGuys expanded to a second location in Brooklyn, which led to the creation of a graffiti-inspired menu for this grungier, yet still playful location.
