Boudin Bakery
Illustration, Collateral Design
With origins dating back to the gold rush of 1849, San Francisco’s most iconic sourdough bread company is beloved by tourists and locals alike. While the original, legendary Boudin logo is a perfect fit on the side of their famous Fisherman’s Wharf warehouse, a new mobile app, launched in early 2020, was in need of something a bit more eye-catching and modern.
I was commissioned to create an illustrated icon set, refreshed menu and various supporting marketing elements, along with several other pieces of marketing collateral. With brighter colors, playful illustrations and an emphasis on social media content, this rebrand was aimed at capturing a younger demographic while still keeping the essence of the company’s notorious 170 year history intact.
